Webstore Beta Testers Needed

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of getting my webstore setup and need a few sets of eyes to look over it and provide some feedback. Some things still need photos and the photos that are there need to be updated, too, but if you could just kick the tires, I'd sure appreciate it.

I think everything is setup with PayPal, but I don't think the shipping module is setup correctly yet.

If you're interested, please drop me a PM or email and I will send you the link.

Thanks!

Done! I think!

Thanks to everyone who has helped me out on this! You're a great group of people who are very encouraging and helpful.

A huge "thank you" to the first two system owners, too!

So, other than some minor tweaks, I think the cart is ready to go!

I'm still going to be adding a lot of actual content to the main page, including lots of videos, but for now, everything's running pretty smoothly.

By the way, there's a free gift for any forum member who lets me know in the comments field on the order form, too.

i will be looking into this in the near future.

just curious what are the benefits of the upgraded pump?

just curious what are the benefits of the upgraded pump?

From reading the web site: The upgraded pump gives more nozzles (I guess more power/PSI??) and it should run cooler so the chances are it will last longer.

I would be curious what the output / PSI rating is for each.

They are 100% correct that they are selling these pumps cheaper than anyone else. I've been looking for a new pump myself and liked this style because it is better and everyone else is selling them for MUCH more.

Thanks for the compliment, Smitty!

(The following info applies to anything sold by any vendor, so I think this is more of a general info reply than a tooting my own horn.)

Dealing with an open plumbing system with variables like this is a bit of a headache, no it's a big headache if you're not a math whiz. Pumps like this have performance curves that change with the amount of backpressure being generated by whatever they're forcing the water against. The length and diameter of the tubing, the number of nozzles and their condition., the condition of any filters, etc. Guess what else...the nozzles' output varies with line pressure and the line pressure varies with the nozzles' output.

It's a heapin' helpin' of variables. Confused yet?

Any vendor's "standard" pump will have a lower flow rate than the more expensive model. That pressure rating is at least the 60psi that you should get out of your wall and likely more.

The difference is the maximum flow rate. For example, these two pumps are both capable of exactly the same maximum pressure, but at 87psi the smaller one will move 10 ounce of water per minute. The larger one will move over 25 OPM. It will also draw more power to do the harder work, so it has a larger power supply. The larger pump has a maximum flow rate of about 150% more than the smaller one, so it will supply a larger number of heads before hitting the lower limit of usability.

I have some real world testing planned soon with large and small setups. I hope that helps for now, though.
