Weeping Mulberry OK For Silkworms?

Where I live, the only mulberry tree that would survive is the weeping mulberry.

Anyone have experience feeding this type of mulberry to silkworms? I'm thinking of buying a tree, as food and shipping in Canada isn't worth the price to get silkworms. 129$ for a tree makes more sense! haha

LOL

You know you got it bad when...you grow trees just for bugs your chameleons eat.

Thanks Kinyonga, I will be planting one soon!

Do you get a decent amount of leaves off them? Any info you can give me on what you do exactly, like harvesting, how fast the leaves grow, how many silkworms one tree can support...?

If you let them grow without trimming them back to "nothing" in the spring they form a thick "mop" and have loads of leaves. I almost thought about putting a screen "box" over the whole tree and letting the silkworms go to town eating the leaves. Not sure it would work though.
