If you have a nickel handy you can check your scale to make sure its reading correctly, the nickel should weigh 5.0 grams. If it is, are you sure its 6 months old? i know its not fair to compare a Jacksons to a Veiled but my 5 month old veiled weighs 63.5 grams.

if you are talkin about the chamelon in your picture than its not a jacksons its a pygmy and 4.2 grams is still tiny unless its a juvinile

It is the cham in my picture but that was taken when i first got him. lemme see if i can get a better picture.

Yeah that's definitely a jackson, not a pygmy from your avatar (see the horns?). Additional pic confirms. Don't know about the appropriate size for that age, hopefully someone who has had jax babies will chime in.

Yeah, never had a doubt til then. it had me second thinking.. but he appears to be healthy. Could he be a smaller locale?

From the pic, it looks fine. I wouldnt be worried unless its skinny and not eating.

I know its late but my adult jacksons wieghs 25g and male 32g. You might have meru jacksons which are smaller but way cool.

Now that he is almost all grown up(about a year), He is definitely a Xanth. He weighs in at 46 grams!

My female Jackson Xanth is almost 6 months and she weighs 24 grams.
