For the past couple of days I have noticed this white spot on his face. He had just shed a few days ago so I thought that maybe it was just some left over skin, but this morning I woke up and he had that spot on his face so I decided to take him out and look at it. It was some discharge out of his nose. I brushed it off and put him back, then I just looked at him again and he has it out of the other nostrile!!! What is it and is it something that I need to be worried about???
He is a 4 month old Panther Chameleon. He has been eating well and active. The humidity is at about 40% and the temp is at 80-90 degrees, highest temp at basking spot. My tank and all my supplies came from Kammerflage Kreations and considered to top knotch.... so im told. I have live plants as well as fake vines and branches. I am feeding him crickets that I are dusted and using misting as a source of water. He is not dehydrated by the looks of his droppings. He has been pooping at least once a day. Please help me.

Possibly you are oversupplementing? Chams will discharge excess calcium out of their nostrils...

maybe?

That may very well be! I have been supplementing with "miner-all", "Herotivite" and "rep-cal" all at the same time. just learned recently that I am supposed to have the supplementing on a scheduale so I am now doing that which I just started yesterday. I am now only using one of those 3 everyday and switching so each is used twice a week. How long will it be before I see the discharge stop and is there anything else that is could possibly be??

yes, that is what I am folowing now. I bought my chameleon from them as well and I have now switched to their supplementing program. Is that all that it could be, is it somehting that I need to be worried about?? Should I stop supplementing all together for a few days to let it all settle down??

Yes, you are oversupplimenting him. If hes old enough, a good shower to pump lots of fluids and hydration will help too. Lay off on the dusting for a few days before starting again with a modified schedule.

also when you supplement, you should only be able to see a very tiny amount of powde on each cricket. If you blow on the cricket, and you see some fly off, you've dusted them to much.
