why are we not letting it go again? Do then not exist outside?
Ive "adopted" a few anoles and house geckos that came in on plant shipments before, but im in ohio, at best we have newts outside

All we've got (that I know of) are some crummy salamanders, which I haven't seen outside of a zoo since I was 10.

Keep them in the mid 70s, low 80s. They're nocturnal so you don't need UVB. There's a population of them near me in NE Pennsylvania that lives in the walks of buildings fir the cool months of the year. They super easy. Just spray it with a mister and give it food and it will thrive.

Mediterranean house geckos are super common to stowaway in a variety of goods shipped around the world. Originally from... You guessed it... The Mediterranean, but have numerous introduced populations all over the globe. I would imagine it came in on a produce shipment delivered to the restaurant it was captured.

I was called in to remove some man eating redback salamanders in 2019. They wouldnt go near them due to those huge teeth. Then again i have to rescue the neighbor lady every once in a while when she gets cornered by some toads. Everytime they hop, she jumps...

Regarding UVB...just because a lizard is nocturnal, it's not true that they don't need or get any UVB to produce vitamin D3...

I don't think if would hurt it. If you have an older bulb from the chameleon it might be strong enough too.

Making me jealous that the closest thing to him where I live is a tiger salamander.
