Weird sleeping pattern?

Hey guys, my new panther it seems he likes to get ready for bed and kinda close his eyes about 2 hours before his lights go off like he knows there going to soon. During the day from 7:00 in the morning when they come on till about 5:00 he is wide awake and acting normal, then he will slowly make his way to where he sleeps and get ready to go to bed. Is this normal? Do any of your chams do this? He is eating fine and is showing no signs of illness, great looking poo and stuff like that. His lights are from 7:00 to 8:00, maybe this is just to long and he gets tired? Any help would be great

-Thanks Jared:D

My Meller does the same thing he starts to go to bed about anywhere from one hour to two hours before lights out.....and I asked this same question a while back and the thoughts were its fine as long as everything else is normal.

Howdy Jared,

Many chameleon keepers find that a lighting schedule starting at 6-7am and ending at 6-7pm with a 12 hour duration to be appropriate. He may still work his way to his sleeping spot around an hour before lights-out :).
