Ive had a feeling that it was his poop so i spot cleaned his cage and now there is not anymore feces but the smell persists. What do you think is wrong?

Do you have a live potted plant? If the soil doesn't drain and gets waterlogged it can smell like rotten eggs.

If you have plants, I would check the soil. If it's too wet, the roots will become waterlogged and start to rot. The smell is very feces-like and gets stronger and stronger.
If that's the problem, repot the plant with river rocks in the bottom of the pit to promote better drainage. That should clear it up.
