Maxey quit using her tail. The end of it is a different color and she just let's it hang. Here's a pic please tell me what you think is wrong.

She is definitely gravid, do you have a laying bin for her, in the pic her tail looks like its just in shed mode , if her tail is limp she may have fallen and damaged it , is there any kinks in the tail?Can you take any better pics

Yes she has a laying him she been using it for the last two years but she seems hesitant now. She did sleep in it all night last night but didn't dig. There are no links in her tail and it's warm to touch the same as the rest of her I will try for a better picture.

It definitely looks like it could be dying. Could it be an infection causing he tail not to be used and pale in color?

It started at the tip I showed the vet she didn't seem concerned maybe I need a new vet any ideas I live in Arlington Texas

You might try digging a few starter holes for her to lay her eggs / are they fertile

It was just the tip for along time the vet wasn't concerned. But she also, the reason for the vet visit was her nails were gone. She said give her vitamins with lots of vitamin A so I got some and started giving them to her twice a week. Her nails have grown back but now the tail isn't working and it's discolored. Maybe I should take her back to the vet. But the vet is so young I was concerned about her knowledge. I live in Arlington Tx if anyone has a vet recommendation
