i have had my panther male over a month now closer to 2 i think.
i have never touched,or even attempted to touch him. i open his enclousre to feed him,change out the paper towels and to mist him. i try to not bother him if i don't have to.
usually he pays no attention to me and goes about his business. but yesterday wow he was not happy at all. i like to get the feces out as soon as i see it. so i open up the enclourser to clean up the stuff and he looks at me and just opens his mouth really wide. i was like what happened?
i guess from reading other threads he is about the age for his attitude to fully immerge? not sure but he was not happy at all. lol.

Ya, when they are so little, they tend to always be on the defensive...Take the chameleons perspective, LOL. He is fine, no worries about gapeing at you.
