You know how veileds/melleri/panther lay infertile eggs.
Does this happen to live bearers as well?. Do they produce sort of slime capsules or something similar to that ?. Im really curious to know.
Cause for the time I've had meleo(rudis) which is abt a year and a half, nothing of the sort has occured after she gave birth to babies.

Yummy.

Depends on how often they give birth. Most ovoviviparous species that I work with only breed once a year so I’d only get slugs during the birthing process later in the year. I’d assume that species that breed multiple times annually would produce these several times yearly. These jelly beans can be the entire litter or just part of.

I’ve also noticed that only properly kept and cycled montane females will develop these unfertilized ova. Not all do.
