Nice! Are you going to be bringing any to Daytona by chance? I need to get a couple of those from you (particularly the second species). How many bloodlines of each do you have?

Now see? I'm glad I said you couldn't guess. ;)

Yes, I was planning on bringing them down to Daytona but I'm actually thinking about holding a couple of them back (as if I have the room). But yes, there will be some there. They are CH. Maybe we could trade (again with the room issue....) as I'm sure there are plenty of things in your collection that I would like in return. ;)

Julie,

Not sure about trades, I don't have any babies of anything at the moment and only have small breeding groups or individuals I'm trying to pair up of others. I've been so busy that I've not made any attempts to breed in the last year. We can figure something out though.

On the first species, did you get any that were just massive compared to the specimens of that species you typically see? Even within the group that came in, there seemed to be a couple that were odd and just huge in comparison to the rest. I have one of those females and I'm convinced its something different, although not yet described.

Also, I assume the hoes are Ugandan, not the Kenyan, right?

By the way, it looks like you're using glass terrariums to raise the babies? Is this the first time you've used them to raise babies? How do you like them?

Chris

I was kind of kidding on the "trade" part (although I'm sure I would melt if I could peek into your private collection....).

No, they were just regular compared to all the ones I have ever seen. Nothing bigger than normal.

Yes, they are Ugandan.

I have been using glass for all my babies for a couple of years now for smaller clutches and smaller babies. Even when a clutch of larger babies such as panthers or this recent clutch of trans. babies, I will use it for the first few that come out of the egg until there are so many that I have to transfer them to the tub. But I generally use it for the smaller species or smaller clutches. My carpet babies were in there for nearly 3 months!

Before, I was just using the kind (forgot the brand) they sell at Petsmart that they have in the "reptile" department. A while back, though, I got some smaller Exo Terras (or some left-overs from my uroplatus collection) and then I also got some fantastic ones from Magnaforce Industries (here in Chicago - they are the ones that custom built my argus enclosure(s) and a few other things for me) that are glass with a slide top lid that work great for babies. They are a little taller and just a little better than what you normally find. I was just talking with them this past weekend about starting to build some nice ones for chams (similar to Protean). But I haven't had any problems with them and love them for the babies for a few weeks.

T.Bitaneatus? for the first??

Ding Ding Ding.......!! We have a winner! :D

Can I have the one in picture #2? :)

They are all so precious, aren't they? :)

I don't know what they are, but the little snob-nosed ones in the second set are precious!!!!
I just want to pinch their little figurative cheeks!
