What glue for silkworm eggs?

Does the glue need to be dry before they begin to hatch? Just don't want to put it down and them die from it ?

Yes don't use more than a thin film it doesn't take much to get them to stick. It dries in seconds normally. It is also kids glue so non toxic.

I'm trying my hand at silkworm breeding for the first time, and don't mean to hijack this thread, but what is the glue for? Do you use it when you put them in hatch, and if that's the case, why? I've been following a blog about this and they never mentioned glue, so I'm very curious. Thanks!

So they dont roll a round before setting them down in the incubator/hatch tub.

i just use flour and water. "powder" the bottom and add a spritz/mist from the cham spray bottle. It will dry them in place. I dont like the glue the pros use, if you have ever sat for 30-1hour with tweezers saving little lives, you will understand.

Its basically the glue paste stick the more adventurist toddlers eat.
