I have never seen this before. I noticed his black chin after he ate a butterworm this morning. He's gotten small little bruises that last a day or so but never any discoloration like this! Does anyone know what this could be???

Several people have seen this same reaction after eating butter worms. I am not sure what causes it but from those who have experienced it, it does go away eventually.
That happened to one of my Parson's after eating a butterworm. It's been months and she still is not back to normal coloring in the effected area.
Oh no! I wish I would have known about this earlier I hope it goes away..
Yeah its still a developing topic. It wasn't long ago that I posted about it and got a bunch of replies stating that they didn't think butter worms could cause that as they had fed off thousands of them without any issues in the past. As more and more people are reporting the same reactions just after feeding off a butter worm, more people are realizing that there is a relationship.
He also ate a few phoenix worms too. Do you think it could be from those as well or just the butter worms?
