What is the best feeding strategy?

My cham, a 10 month old panther boy has not been too keen on eating lately (he usually ate around 5 medium grasshoppers and now he is eating 2 every two days) and I have been wondering what I could do to get his appetite back up. He seems happy and healthy with bright colors so I'm not too worried about him being sick He usually gets grasshoppers and crickets as his main staple and different kinds of worms as snacks basically. I usually let him free range although it sometimes turns into hand feeding if he is really hungry and catches them from my hand before I have a chance to put them in. Lately he has been ignoring his grasshoppers witch means that they have time to clean the vitamins off and sometimes even die because of the humidity before he eats them. He still happily eats the worms (mostly wax and super) but I don't want to give too much so that he doesn't ruin his appetite even more. Some people told me not to have bugs in his cage all the time and also to just feed him every two days but how can I do that when I let him free range? Should I take the bugs out after a while?
Thanks!

around 10 month and I free range but that's all in the post or did I mess something up while posting it?

Your post says he has a cage and he free ranges. Where do you feed him? We use special feeder cups.
At 10 mos panthers appetites drop off which is why you are feeding every other day. If he's getting ready to shed his eating may drop off short term. If it's not that or sickness then you just have to rotate feeders to keep up their interest. We feed crx, dubia, hornworms, superworms and silkworms.
