What is your MOST embarassing moment??!

haha. I thought this would be a fun thread. You know we have all had them. So I will start out....Back in the 70's when disco was the rage the girls would wear these skirts made out of a spandex material that would tie at the waste and wrap around. I was a big disco queen and one night as I was dancing to Donna Summer on the dance floor the fog machine started up and you could barely see in front of you. My friend and I just kept dancing away and when the smoke cleared my skirt was gone and I was standing there in 4 inch platforms and my underwear! My skirt had fallen off and got kicked in the corner! Needless to say I got a standing ovation!!!

hahaha I too remember those skirts. Carol I think someone did a little tug on where you skirt tied so they could see you when the fog cleared!

Well , there was one time when I was bowling years ago . When it was my turn , as I made my approach and released the ball , my feet slipped cause somebody used baby powder on their shoes and some of it stayed on the approach . All of the sudden there comes a big ripping sound ... pants split from zipper to back belt loop . Luckily for me , I always had extra clothes in my car , for emergencies ... lol . Unfortunately , our lanes we were on were in the middle of the bowling alley and alot of people got a good laugh .

OK Carol... heres mine.
Many years ago during finals in school as the room was so completely silent.. I let out a fart and it was not just any fart... But one that sounded like I was trying to kick start an old 2 cycle motorcycle (the type that go pop pop pop pop pop). I didn't think it would every stop. My best friend was sitting next to me and she was so embarrassed for me that she turned bright red. She kept her head down but cast her eyes to me as she knew it did it. Well I very clearly said out loud so the hole class would hear me. Gosh Babs! She again was so embarrassed she couldn't even speak up for herself. So in this case not only was I embarrassed, but so was she as well.

oh gosh, where to begin i could be classified of the klutz of the century! so heres one story: i had recently started dating this guy (who is now my bestest friend in the whole world) and he happened to be my mom's coworkers son. he had a huge family, him, 3 sisters, 2 adopted siblings, and his parents. one day my mom and i were in lowes and i had worn slippers because i hate shoes, and i saw him going into an isle, so i snuck up on him, i was going to run up and give him a hug real fast, so i started running down the isle, went to stop...yea, slippers on a slick concrete floor? my body stopped, feet kept going, i fell backwards, and he caught me! needless to say this happened in front of his entire family...i swear i almost peed myself..

Kat! That's hilarious! Mine is tamer than that, lol! Mine has to be when I met a good friend from college that I hadn't seen in years. I knew she had two kids already, and I asked her when she was due with the current one, only for her to tell me that she wasn't pregnant! Luckily she was a very good friend and she laughed it off, but I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me!

I was a competitive swimmer for many many years.
I used to get up at 4 am to get to swim practice before school started.
ANyway, I always put my swim suit on before leaving the house, but this one morning i was soooo tired, i forgot.

anyways.. i always would just take my clothes off, sweatpants and t shirt on the pool deck and stick them in my pool bag...... well

since i didnt have my suit on...... and no bra....... lets just say.....
thank god no one saw!

so ill try to keep it clean-ish and go with this one.

so i was probably 16 and some girl i used to hang out with came over.

i was asleep and she jumped in my bed and started shaking me to wake me up.

mind you im a male. and there is this thing that happens to some of us, sometimes in the morning... well she landed right on it. and she didnt noticed but i was so freaked out and disoriented because i had just been sleeping i jumped out from under my covers and made the situation about 20times worse by fully exposing myself, in that "condition".

Hahaha in camp, i was doing something in track and field. The counselor asked me what my name was, but i understood what was my first period (of classes) and since shes kinda far away i yell out really loud "indian crafts"! And since evryone is looking at me they start laughing and i was like O_O and then the counselor starts laughing and she could barely say what my name was again it was really random
Ok this one wasnt me, but i found it hilarious!!! My friend at camp was playing soccer and it got pretty intense. I was sitting out so i could see this game perfectly. She tripped on the ball and to appear that she hadnt fallen, she started doing kinda like a james bond roll once she started falling... It was hilarious!!!! I almost died

I remember when I was maybe 10-11 and my parents signed me up for a theater summer camp course at our local museum of science, to get me to be less shy in front of people. It was a blast, but at the end of the course we had to recite a few skits/poems in front of all our parents and guests. Well, I did my one skit with another girl just fine but when it came time to do my solo monologue, I totally blanked. The poor camp counselor was trying to feed me the lines but it was getting ridiculous, it just wasn't coming back to me. So I ended up just walking off stage. I was really mortified and I think my parents were as well. Needless to say, I still don't do any public speaking if I don't have to lol But unfortunately in my science major I do have to do a lot of short presentations. Although now that I think about it I did two presentation in the following grade school years where I got so nervous for one reason or another that I actually started crying. Another horrible moment in front of the whole class! lol Thankfully I seem to have outgrown that level of fear.

Another lesser one but still sort of horrible for me was when I had JUST met my boyfriend's older sister. Now, this is a boyfriend that I can see myself marrying in a few years, so making a good impression with his family is a big thing. His sister is 30 and had just had a baby like 5 months prior, so she was still dealing with the last of her baby weight and feeling self conscious. They invited me to a pool and I hadn't brought anything to swim with so she offered me one of her bathing suits. When she handed it to me she said "I hope it fits ok," and I replied without thinking "if worse comes to worst I think I have a safety pin in my purse." And the poor woman replies "Man, I'm not that fat!" She didn't sound very offended but I was horrified. I just didn't want to accidentally flash someone because she's bigger up top than I am lol Almost a year later we're still friends and she likes me but I was like, great, I just called my boyfriend's sister fat and she's never going to like me again.

also when i was younger i had extremely bad social anxiety. i would get embarrassed by pretty much anything.

so what normal people wouldnt consider embarrassing hit me with that mortified emotion 10x especially girls, if a pretty girl talked to me before the age of 14. id go mute and turn beet red. unless of course i already knew them (just imagine how long getting to know them took)

then one day when i was 14 we had a verbal book report, what are those called again?....well anyways. i did my report on Hubble, and im standing up there and im reciting everything perfectly as i had practiced, making eye contact, avoiding using my notes. and mind you i was the type of kid who if asked to go up to the chalk board to do a simple problem would just stand there paralyzed.

so anyways its going amazingly, it was like a flippin miracle. i had like my first inkling of self confidence growing within. like a seed just begining to sprout. and then **BUUUUUUUUURRRRRP** everything slowed down and as my eyes darted across the room, waiting for the impending laughter, i noticed the looks on my class mates faces. some werent even phased and probably not paying attention but most of the others either just looked surprised or embarrassed for me. and where normally id choke up i glanced at my teacher (who never smiled) and she had this stupid shit grin plastered on her face. and i just started cracking up, and everyone else did too.

so after 15 seconds or so of laughter Mrs Donnely screams at everyone (which was normal) and asks me to please proceed. which i did flawlessly.

so that actually wasnt an embarrassing moment, but it the first moment i can remember where i normally would have had a complete meltdown. and i didnt.

it took a few more years to get over my social anxiety completely, i think what helped the most was working as a host, and in retail to realize how clueless and lacking any degree of value most peoples opinions are.
