I am wondering if I can't get a tube light like the reptisun 5.0, what else is a substitute. And what wattage(sorry i can't spell) would be beneficial. Thank all of you for everything, this site has been a tremendous help. Bye

I would just get the Reptisun in the green box. I don't know if it is more expensive than other brands but it is the most convenient for me. They work great. Is there any reason why you can't use that brand?

They are cheaper even with shipping online then from petstores-usually about $25. LLL is probably the cheapest.

Big Apple Herp (www.bigappleherp.com) and lllreptile (www.lllreptile.com) are usually in a price matching war or at least will match the other's lower price. I often get the Reptisun 5.0 linear tubes (any length) for under $14 from LLL all of the time by mentioning Big Apple's most recent price which was also under $14. Big Apple may be out of stock at the moment but I'm sure that they'll have some in soon. Red box or green box, just make sure that it is the Zoo Med 5.0 product (BUT NOT THE COMPACT!)
