I went on lllreptile and looked at a few screen cages. Im getting my 3 month old Blue Bar male in on tuesday. What size should i go with that will last awhile?
16 x 15 x 20 inch Aluminum screen cage
16 x 16 x 30
18 x 18 x 36
I have untill tomorrow to decide so that it will be here by monday.
Thanks for the help

I would get the 16x16x30
Also get the 24x24x48 while they are still on sale for 75$
That is a freaking steal!
You will need to upgrade when he reaches juvenille/adult size.
Maybe around 6-7months.
They come in thin boxes, so you can just store it under the bed or something.
Good Luck!

i would go with the 16x16x30. most ficus you get at walmart are taller than 20 inches. you could also get the biggest as long as you cup feed.

I would get a 2'x2'x4' cage from LL - and a plastic tub to raise him while he's small! One of those large, clear plastic tubs with a sreened lid work wonders for little chameleons up until maturity.

I have a Exo Terra Large Glass Terrarium 18x18x18 I just read that the glass was not a good idea? Is that true? If i could use this untill he gets a little older that would be great then i could get the bigger cage from lllreptiles and save money...

glass is bad. chams need ventilation and the aquariums, with the needed moisture and humidity, will cause bacteria. dont get a reptarium. they break easily and are not good at all in my opinion. screen caged terrariums would be the best. and i would get him in a screen cage asap.

They don't own the Chameleon yet, and being that it will be young It would be fine for a while, to not waste time, I would just order the cage.

Hello i have a reptarium its measurements r 29"x29"x48" that is good for a adult veiled right? i was wanting to build one but if they r that cheap. i might get one.does anyone have any pictures of the 24x24x48 setup for a chameleon to see what it would look like? its hard to tell when there empty on the site .

You have a baby right? I wouldn't have them in a reptarium. I would just put them in a screen cage.
