What substrate do you all use for laying bins?

My female is coming thursday, just curious what you all prefer as your laying bin substrate? My "laying bin" will just be my cage floor in my typical flower pot under the reptibreeze fashion. Might plant a few plants in it so I didn't want to use straight sand. Is anything that holds shape suitable? I like to use organic soil/sand mix with some coco fiber. I bought reptisoil at the reptile exp Sunday and I'm actually very impressed with it. Very smooth small particles.

I use organic soil for all my bins never had a problem just keep it moist enough to where you can make a tunnel and it won't collapse.. a trick I do that hasn't failed me yet is I have a flat rock that I dig a ditch in the bin lay the rock on top then cover it and they always go in it and start from there

I keep a plant on top of the rock I moved it so you can get a idea pretty simple tho I put holes in the bin so water can flow out I water it every now and then like a plant

1 part sand 1 part dirt of choice 1 part vermiculite or coconut fiber, depending on what i have on hand. You want it moist, fluffy, and easily dig-able. What you dont want is the poor thing to dig a hole, have it cave in, and have to dig another hole.

Sounds good thanks everyone. I just tried that reptisoil btw @ChamLB . I'm very impressed with it, normally I make my own, but the reptisoil is a great texture
