What type of water to use.

Tap is ok. If you use it, occasionally spray with distilled water to remove salt and other minerals.

I use RO/DI water as it is considered to be the purest form of water. And I never get any hard water build up on my plants or cages and the plats thirive with it.

Hey guys,

I was wondering if using Distilled water is ok for my chameleon....

Well, distilled water has ALL of its minerals and other potential organic micronutrients removed because it is made from condensed steam. If you are gutloading and dusting correctly that shouldn't be a problem. All you really need to remove from any water is high levels of chlorine or chloramines, lead or heavy metals, byproducts of pesticides or other treatment chemicals. It might get expensive to use distilled for misting every day. If you have well water it might be high in calcium and cause water spot buildup on your plant leaves and cage. You could install a faucet filter to remove some of these things from your tap water instead.
