Hey, I'm about to buy a new bulb for my adult male panther. I was using a 15 watt 18" Repti Glo 5.0 T-8 Tropical Fluorescent Bulb. Should I buy another one and keep using these? Or should I go with something else? I want what's best for him. I live in Kansas and it's usually very windy and dry here and recently the weather has been very bipolar, so he gets almost no natural sunlight.
Also, I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Slimline Reptile Lamp http://www.petsolutions.com/I/Slimline-Reptile-Lamp.aspx and if it's ok to use for my other panthers? I'm mainly asking because there is a clear plastic cover over the bulb, and I want to make sure the UV is penetrating it and actually giving my chameleons what they need.
