Hey all
After a couple years on hiatus ( long story ) my wife suprised me with a cb xanth for fathers day.
I noticed right away he had a swollen ankle, just one of four were swollen. He has a bit of a nip tale, and his horns arent perfectly straight, but other than that hes perfect and obviously very healthy.
he was purchased from a local brick and mortar with a great reputation.
at the time of purchase the seller advised my wife there was no guarentee what so ever on chameleons, which i thought was odd for a supposed cb cham.
i brought the cham in and got the full background according to the seller. He was picked up at the warehouse from a local who had been breeding and holding on to them. seller hand picked 4 and had them for a few months before he started to sell, and this one was his last that he had in his care for 3-4 months.
he offered a return for credit, or exchange for equal value. even offered to keep checking for another cb xanth for an additional 3 weeks but if he couldnt find another to replace it i would have to make a decsion on keeping it or taking the credit.
he is being very understanding and cooperative.
what would you do? keep him or take the credit?
we both think it was a careless employee yanking him at some point, or a fall. Either way it seems to be due to phys trama not gout ect....
i love the little guy but dont want to risk loosing him due to a complication steming from this injury.
THANKS!!!!
