I got a we rudis chameleon last Thursday and I've been having all sorts of problems her mate died within 72 hours of me having it. So what I'm thinking is uri she's wheezing pretty badly and has a swollen eye any idea what this might be and how to fix it. I took her out of her cage and am letting her free roam because whenever she goes in her cage she turns black with stress.

she's also possibly gravid

wheezing as well as swollen eye(s) are signs of an upper respitory infection. she needs to see a reptile vet and get some antibiotics in order to get better!

this is a site that has reptile vets on it, you can search by state for a vet near you
http://www.arav.org/find-a-vet/

please keep us updated on how she is doing and how the vet visit goes!

they can be caused by stale water standing in the enclosure that bacteria breeds in, also too high of humidity with not enough ventilation, inhalation of water into lungs. those are the causes i know of!

You may also have some moth rot going on.

To add to the list above. Low temps over a long period is not good.

You will want to take the little one to a vet with a fresh stool as soon as you can. Wild caughts are tricky and usually require extra care.

In the meantime i would give your kid some warm shower treatments with the curtain closed and the door shut. As long as you can a couple times a day.
