Remy is almost 6 months old now and is growing quickly, though he still seems rather small to go in his big boy cage. I will have evrything for his adult set-up next week, but want to know when everyone moved thier babied to thier big boy (or girl) cages?

I don't want to do it too early, but I also don't want him to suffer in his small cage too long.

Thank you all in advance for your comments!

I've put George in his big boy home and he's a bit younger than yours. He is doing ok in it, took him few days to get used to it.
Think you'll just know. Once it's all set up you'll probably want him in there. Kath.

I agree with Big Gulp. When my boys hit that age they really start to travel all over the enclosure. I think they are coming in to their teenage time and are cruising for girls.

Thank you all for your responses. I will have his tree and new lights this week then I will set up his cage and move him into it.

I moved Remy into his new cage last night after work. He is still a bit aprehensive about the move, but seems in pretty good spirits anyway. I will take some pics tonight and post them.

Yeah, they dont like changes very much, but he will likely settle in pretty
quick if you have enough foliage in there for him to hide.

Remy is getting comfortable in his new home. He is quick to accept food and seems comfortable wandering his cage. Here are a couple pics of the new digs. I still need to get some dowels in there for him, just haven't found the time yet to get to the store.

looking good!!
adding some more pathways would make it better.either vines or bamboo throughout so he can explore the whole of his new home and a few small live plants at the bottom;) just a suggestion xx
