When should I move "Chama" into his new home?

I just got a new enclosure for "chama" my pet veiled cham. It is a 44x23x23 enclosure, designed for an adult chameleon. I fear that he might still be too small for the cage. I'm not actually sure how old he is maybe the people of this forum can help me out. He is currently in his grow out cage 20x16x16.

Here are a few pics of Chama.

I do not know why people think a small chameleon needs a smaller cage than an adult chameleon has.I have a juvenile female in a 24" 24" 48" cage.

He's plenty big enough for an adult size cage. Even bigger. When they are like a month or two old, ya definitely do not put them in an adult sized cage unless you are cup feeding so you can make sure you know the little dude is getting enough food. This guy though, hook him up with an adult cage. He's plenty big enough and the space will make him happy.

I would say he's around 5-6 months old.

Juliaf nailed it there. The only reason you should keep a young chameleon in a small cage is to know it ate enough food. Even then you can keep a small chameleon in a large enclosure if you cup feed it. Go ahead and put your cham in the new enclosure. He'll love the extra space :D

Thanks guys, just waiting for her laying bin and some more live foliage then moving her into her big girl cage. Its a she btw x)
