Where should I buy a chameleon?

I'm unsure of which breeder to purchase from. I want a veiled chameleon and I'm in Michigan.

Definitely go with a breeder. Even though you may find animals for sale at lower prices in large stores like Petco or Petsmart, you will quickly surpass those costs in vet visits because they rarely care for them properly. Price aside, the animals you can get from breeders are often much more attractive. Breeders are also often very willing share husbandry tips and they are emotionally invested. They want their babies to go to good homes.

From a reputable breeder like Kammerflage, for example. Definitely NOT big chain pet stores like Petco or Petsmart.
Kammerflage only has panther chameleons, I probably should've mentioned I'm looking for a veiled.

I'm on a budget, since I have a minimum wage job. I'm looking for a juvenile, I don't want a baby chameleon.

Ik that Jann just hatched some baby veiled if anyone can tag her here they’re veileds and she’s having a pre pay sale before they are ready to ship and that should give you time to get everything ready. She also has pics of the lineage. Try contacting her for one if I remember that’s 100$ for a baby right now.

Local rescues are good, because some people just dump their chameleon at the shelters when they realize that chams are a really big responsibility. But its really worth it. I think one of the best places would be a reputable breeder from here like @jannb or a site sponsor/breeder. With local breeders you can sometimes have a bit of a hard time determining their current care situation, or their ancestry. If you find a good local breeder, that is even better. Just my two cents :)
