I am soon to recieve a 4 month old Ambilobe. So far the only thing I'm sure of to feed him is crickets. I've also heard, domestic house flies, flightless fruit flies, mealworms, silkworms, phoenix worms, and butterworms. For a male of this age, any recomendations on which feeders will be the best for him? Also, how many/how often? Theres so much conflicting information out there that I wanted to ask real people what theyre feeding, Thankyou!

Hi

At four months, I am still feeding them pretty much as much as they will eat within about 5 minutes, 3 or 4 times a day. Its quite a bit. I start cutting back a little and controlling a bit more around 5/6 months, depending on the size of the animal.

I recommend the widest variety of prey you can offer. Small Silkworms, small roaches (multiple kinds), small superworms, small moths, small stick insects, terrestrial isopods, small butterworms, crickets, a few mealworms, etc.

Gutloading is as important as the feeder options
