I gutload from Sandrchamelon's blog. But I want to get either

Bug Burger,Cricket Crack or Dino Fuel.

But I have no idea why I would want one over the other. Lily so far has been loving the beetles. I am going to start a colony:eek:

I would like to hear from people that use these and let me know what you think!

Thank you:cool:

I have both Bug Burger and Dino Fuel. I don't think any of my insects are super into BB, they will eat it if I don't put anything else in there with them but there isn't a huge amount of interest, that I've experienced. Apparently other people's insects love it lol. They go nuts for the DF but it's expensive given the size, I'd go through it in a couple weeks if I feed the whole colony with it. I use it more for dusting or as food for insects in the feeder cup, but not for the colony as a whole. But that's just me!

I feel like Cricket Crack is your best option as food for the whole colony. I've heard only good things about it.
That said, you can always keep one or two of these products on hand, since they're all good. Can't hurt to switch it up now and again.

I think you can't go wrong with any one of them. They are all very top notch products! If I was buying one I would go with BB just because it gives both food and water in one product.

I use Cricket Crack along with a lot of other of Sandra's gutload ingredients. I have not tried the others as I have been using it for about a year without any issues so I am not going to change. Crix love it :)

I'm a Crack Man myself. Oh wait did that come out right. lol
Anyways I use other veggie stuff in addition to the crack. I've have been wanting to try the BB just to have something around that you just have to add water to in a pinch. I'm sure we all have those lazy moments, at least I'd like to think that I'm not the only one that does.

i use cricket crack and bug burger to hydrate my feeders. i used to use water crystals but changed to bug burger. my crickets, roaches and superworms love both of them. btw...i keep my superworms in super chow.

I have used crack for ages, about as long as Steve has made it. I currently have boh bug buger and crack. I would go broke in a wel if I let my Dubai live on bb. They eat amazing amounts of the stuff. Crickets 1/2 and up do great on bb, but smaller ones I am not so sure of, but I can't tell if they eat cc either. I like to switch off on bob and cc. Both are excellent. Never used Dino fuel.

I like dino fuel raptor edition. My feeders go nuts and my animals look more healthy and brighter. I used repashy superload too. I put the gutload on bananas and it works wonders.

I just ordered some bug burger to try it out. Can you use Bug Burger as your only gutload? that would make life alot easier.

You can, that is what it was designed for. I have done that at times when I run out of my other gutloads but I typically use BB with Sandra's gutload recipes. Just to clarify I don't use gutload as gutload. I just use my gutloads to grow my bugs from day one...so use all the above as bug food period.

the last part of your statement confused me, but I got the part about the bug burger being used as the only gutload for crickets. thanks :D

Sorry:eek: What I mean is that some (most) think of Gutload as what you feed your insects just before you feed them to your chams. I feed my bugs gutload all the time from new hatchling bugs to when they get fed off:cool:

Ive just been using BB, but have just started since last Sat. adding Dinofuel to it. The crickets freak out on it and I swear my little Ernie has doubled in size since Sun. I might add though.... I only have 1 cham. I can see how this could get expensive for the multi cham home. For me.... I just cant see buying all those fresh vegies, fruits and stuff for the relatively small amount of feeders I keep. For me that would get expensive & wasteful. Ive been dusting daily with Calcium plus also. When I got Burt as a little guy about 5 years ago I dont recall him growing this fast or looking as good as Ernie at this age. These super foods werent around then. I would say... depending on how many feeders you have.. will depend on which route you should follow.I do feel the Repashy products are probably the best around these days.It amazes me how much research they put in and the quantity of animal specific products they produce. My feeders and Ernie are doing fantastic... So Far.

I think I'm gonna try the bb and calcium plus route. I only have one Cham. If I buy 500 crickets at a time How much bb should I buy/ feed the crickets every night?

I would just get the biggest bag so that u don't have to keep ordering it when u run out...plus u would save money on shipping. At least that's what I did.

You will be very happy you did. I have many forum members mixing the bugburger with DinoFuel and are having exceptional results. Therefore, that is another avenue to explore. Thanks and Happy Holidays ! Also, if you are concerned about the water content in DinoFuel, you can simply add some water to it or you can put it on a wet, freshly rinsed veggie and there is your moisture. No microwave needed. The price is $13.99 plus free shipping, but you are getting a 100% organic product. No controversial chemicals added or chemicals you can't pronounce.

How big is your cham?My Ernie was pushing it.. munching medium crickets. But the crickets have gone gonzo too.I have to hand select the smallest now:eek: I only buy 150 or less at a time. On the bright side.... The way he is growing.....He may be able to tackle any size by X Mas:)

Lol. He isn't that big. I buy my crickets from Armstrong cricket farm. And that's the smallest size I beileve in bulk. I am buying 1/2 inchers. I need to buy less. There all alive when they show up but many die after a week or two. Any suggestions on who to get crickets, and for that matter Phoenix worms, at one time. Quality is more important than price for me.
