White around cask?

Hi guys, I haven’t been on here in ages between moving & other nonsense, but I was looking for some advice ?

My guys about a year and a half old, and I’ve started noticing some white forming around his cask ? I can’t seem to find many posts on it.

He’s in a 24x24x36, dome lighting with a 60w bask, and a T8 5.0 15w UVB. I’ve been misting him for 2-3 minutes twice a day with an automatic hand mister since my monsoon broke, using a mini dripper for the mean time, I have a mist king I haven’t set up yet, though.

His usual staple is daily crickets, usually 10-15 a day, but his appetite has seemed to slow down so I’ve started doing every other day, I’ll break it up with Dubia and large horn worms.

When he was eating every day I did MultI vitamin once every three weeks, calcium without d3 twice a month, and calcium with d3 every other day. I’m working out the kinks on that now since I only started feeding every other day about a week ago.

He’s pooping normally, I’m always finding nice white poo’s on his plants, so it doesn’t seem like he’d be dehydrated. The ambient temp in the room is usually around 75, his basking spot is usually around 80-84, humidity is usually around 45 whenever I check. Goes a little higher when I spray him down but that’s to be expected.

Too much D3! Use plain calcium without D3 at every feeding. Use D3 twice per month.

What are you using to gutload feeders? Poor gutloading can effect a chams shedding as well

Nutritional deficiency will lead to a problem with all metabolic functions

Frequent stuck shed, lethargic, eye problems... the list goes on. The chameleon gets nutrients from the feeders it eats so, if the feeders arent eating nutritiously then the cham will start to lack those nutrients.

I use that much because of posts I’ve seen here saying to ..... I can definitely adjust Andy cut back though, specially since he’s cutting down.

As for feeders... I feed my crickets the cricket gutload from Josh’s frogs, along with potatoes and some carrots. I also have dubia which I feed rehydrated zilla fruit & veggie mix. I’ll also feed horn horns occasionally which aside from their own food just get coated in the calcium.

He’s never had problems with shed, being lethargic, unless this dry scale thing is a shed issue, in which case it’s new to me .. lol

HOLD THAT THOUGHT, I messed up my original post lol I swapped the two. I literally have a container I labeled “NO D3” next to his cage.

Sorry, I’ve had a long week. lost one of my leopard geckos, and a couple days later my kitty had a urinary blockage so I don’t know up from down right now. (Also why I was worried about the dry scales)

Big no no on using potatoes as gutload.
