White in mouth/swollen lip

My 5/6 mo old female veiled, Miss Daisy, has one side of her mouth protruding a little bit. I took a look in her mouth and noticed white along that area of her lip? Is anyone familiar with this? I have some pictures. You’ll notice her other side doesn’t have that. I felt so bad holding her like that, but she kind of just let me look with no issues. I know it’s not calcium powder or anything like that.

Im not a professional and the best option is to take her to a vet, but, you can try swabbing it with a clean qtip and applying vetrycin or original listerine to the area after if you get anything off, it might be an infection from a feeder or other husbandry issues

Her lip/gum does look a bit swollen but the gum itself doesn't look inflamed. I'd have a vet take a closer look. You may well be able to catch an infection quite early and get ahead of it.

Ive used it a few times with mouth related issues and ive had it work to cure a gland infection on a jacksons chameleon, and it works as a early cure to mouthrot if caught early, original listerine doesnt have the menthol or mint in it, and is antiseptic

Tbh my jackson actually liked it from the looks of it, you just need to really hydrate after, if youve ever had original listerine (i tried it myself to see what it does) it completely drys your mouth out

What kind of listerine were you raised with? Lol it definitely shouldn’t be drying out your mouth!

Other than the obvious vet advice, manuka honey has infection fighting properties. I wouldn't do this instead of getting it checked though.

She is honestly the sweetest thing, the only time she’s ever tried to bite me was when I accidentally scared her!

She not completely hormonally mature yet. She may go through a more pissy stage and become less tolerant. Just hard to predict.

Quick update- she’s at the vets and the dr thinks it’s the beginning of an abscess so I’m getting her on some antibiotics
