Hey guys,,

Ok so my female veiled who is about 3/4 months old she keeps going down and turning dark green.. I have all the necessary lighting heating and a tall 36x18x18 screen cage.
Humidity 30/40%
temp in basking about 88c
Lots of high and low folliage
One real birch clipping
Fed crickets tht eat apple nd lettuce w calcium sprinkled
Uvb 5.0 reptisun uvb 18inch tube light
60watt household bulb for basking otherwise temp gets high

Do you guys think she going dark green to get hotter ??
I have been told it could be that or that shes too warm which would explain going down.. Idk just really dnt want her to die
Help plz any idead would be gd and leave me email adresses so i can mail pictures of her nd my tank etc

how long have you had her? She might just be getting used to her surroundings and they may be dark for a period of time. Are you sprinkling the calcium on your feeders or on the stuff you are feeding your feeders like the lettuce? By the way regular lettuce is not a very nutritious vegetable. Use Kale or collard greens or mustard greens instead and add some more fruits and vegetables besides apple. you could try a 45 watt bulb and bring down the basking temp some. If it is too hot for her, she may be retreating to the bottom to get cool. you need to get some calcium with d3 and a multivitamin and start using that twice a month. The regular calcium dust your feeders every time with that.

Shes probably prego they aren't fertile though so they won't hatch. You need to make a laying bin so she can lay her eggs. Just search it up on google or the forums, it's normal:rolleyes:

No, there have been some very young veileds that have become gravid. The earliest I've heard is 4 months though.

Thanks for all the attempted help i dnt think its the humidity its pretty humid here and its typically around 35 % ive had her for about 2 1/2 weeks shes been in this cage for 4 days.. It just worries me becaz it doesnt look healthy when she does it.. I have been givibg her reptocal w calcium and d3 in one. I have been advised to get some regular calcium and only use the d3 once every two weeks is this accurate ??? Any other ideas on the dark green low hanging spots ??
Thanks

Yes i did post this before but just really wanna get alot of answers asap just as i love her and want to figure it out

You should keep it all in one thread so people can keep up.

That and starting a bunch of new threads on the same topic kind of fills the forum up with a bunch of duplicate threads. In effect it is like starting the same conversation over and over again. You are less likely to get help that way.

Did you follow up on the suggestions that were posted before?

Ok yh sounds gd ill do that. Like i sed i just wanted info quick for her well being and i am brand new to this site. Yes tried a couple things have yet to build a nest box which i am gnna do here asap. She seemed happier today
