Hello, I have a female panther thats about 8 months old. She's currently in a 18x18x36. I Would like to get her a bigger cage... I was wandering if panthers prefer space horizontally or vertically. ( with my chondros its all about giving them as much space horizontally as possible) Personally I really like the height of her cage and would like to maybe just have it be wider but Im not going to be the one living in the cage so I would like to do whats best for her.

More horizontal space, with the cage above eye level is best.

I weighed lots of options when upgrading to a bigger cage I was certain that I wanted something bigger horizontally than the standard 24x24x48 so i went with an Atrium style dragonstrand cage that is 44 wide 43 heigh and 22 deep I feel like it gives them tons of room to grow and roam my veiled loves it. I feel like 16-24 inches isnt very much room to stretch out for an animal that is 15 inches long !
