Will he get more active??

So my little guy (3 mo, male, veiled) is just finishing up his first shed since he's been with us. He was very dark this morning and just huffy. I fed him, made sure his dripper and fogger were full, misted down his cage, lights on and left for the day. Before his shed he still wasn't SUPER active... but being new to chams I just didn't know if they got more active? I'm obviously not expecting him to be doing laps around his enclosure, but all he does is bask. And when he gets warm he goes down a layer or two but that's about it.

Regardless of his activity level I still find myself drawn to just standing there watching him. He's so cool!! I love our little Leif! :D

What's the temperature in the cage? In the basking area? What's the cage made of...screen or glass?
Where do you live? Do you have air-conditioning? Is the cage near a window or vent?

Basking temp around 82, room temp is about 70. he's in a full screen enclosure. I'm in KC Missouri, air conditioning- yes, but it's been really mild so it hasn't been on much. but when it is we make sure the vent in his room is semi closed so as to not blow on him directly. he is in front of a window but it has a thermal blocking curtain

He's already much more active this afternoon after he FULLY finished his shed... there was a bit on his tail left this morning

That sounds pretty normal! I know my boy basically doesn't move (or eat!) during his shed. Since their skin is basically just falling off all over the place, it's super uncomfortable for them to move around. He's probably just uncomfortable, waiting til his shed is over!
As long as he's moving between bask and shade spots regularly, and he's not showing any other symptoms, it doesn't seem like there's anything wrong.

Yay! Thank you! I feel like a super paranoid momma, but I just want to make sure I'm not effing anything up! :ROFLMAO: My boyfriend is the reptile expert and we just got Leif a week before my boyfriend left for a two-week work trip... so it's up to me to keep him alive!!

Haha no problem! I'm usually the same way! As time goes on you just kind of get used to how weird chams are. A lot of times things that look worrisome turn out to be normal!
