wireless thermometer

I used picked this up from lowe's! I thought it would be a great idea because I am setting up two enclosure for my veileds.

In the pics the left one is the main and its for indoor.
The right is the receiver and its outdoor.

They both display the temp. but might as well use those two for cage 1 and cage 2! What do you guys think about my idea?

It's not bad, but I prefer using a much cheaper wired one that incorporates both a thermometer and hygrometer, like this:

I use the 'indoor' sensor to measure the temps in the lower part of the cage (generally the ambient temps affecting the cage), and the small, unobtrusive 'outdoor' probe is placed under the basking lamp so that I can monitor the basking temps. The hygrometer allows me to monitor the general humidity levels in the cage. And the fact that it keeps a memory of High and Low temps and humidity allows me to monitor what is going on in the cage when I'm not there.
