what would be better for me to build with I live in Phoenix az so it's dry here I'm misting 5-6 time a day to keep up with the humidity and I think it's stressing him out with that much of me in and out of the room so I need something that will keep the humidity up

Is this for an indoor cage? Many people do wood cages and protect them with waterproof coatings. You would have to do some searches to find the right product. I've seen some PVC cages used outdoors. You might just want to use a plastic curtain around 2-3 sides of your cage to hold in the humidity or add a humidifier to the room in general.
I'm sure you've added more live plants to your cage already and have heard about the befits of a misting system (MistKing or Climist).
