Work trip for five days... What to do

So I just got asked last minute to go to a tradeshow in Orlando for work. I live in Weston and won't be anywhere near my baby for those days.

Usually I'd be pretty good with finding someone to watch my boy. My sister loves Skittles and she's always super excited to have him over but she's gonna be watching two HUGE dogs for the next three weeks and I really don't want to take my chances with them finding him. One playful bite from these big dogs and that's it for Skittles.

What do you guys usually do when you travel? I could get the plug that automatically turns the lights on and off and ask my sister to swing by the house to check on him, clean out his tray, and make sure he has enough food in the enclosure. She probably wouldn't be able to go every day though. I'm just nervous. I really don't feel good leaving him alone. If I have to, I can ask my best friend to watch him, but he has a veiled chameleon and he handles her WAY too much and is not very gentle about it, so I'm feeling iffy about letting him take Skittles. What would you guys do if you were in my situation? I only have a week to plan this out

I don't really go out of town for that long but I use a timer for my lights and my mister. My lights go on about an hour before my mister and go off hour after my mister. This way the chameleons have a chance to warm up before the mister comes on. If your sister could come by your house and feed your chameleon I'm sure he will be fine.

I leave all the time. Timer for lights and mistking is all you need. Throw a bunch of feeders in a feeder cup. 5 days is no problem at all

I have a petsitter and would never leave my guys alone. There’s just to much that can happen with chameleons. I could never forgive myself if I left them unattended, even for one day and came home to a prolapse or someone with their tongue hanging out. I worry all the time when I have to leave my guys. I have an excellent petsitter but she just doesn’t know my guys as well as I do and not as good at picking up on the signs of a problem.

Of course a petsitter is nice. I have people stop by as well on. But for those without the option, I wouldn't worry.
