Worms Again!!

I recently picked up some Wax Worms and am now wondering about their bedding. I read on an old Wax Worm post that the sawdust they come in is not eaten by them. I just put some of my Super Worm bedding in their container but they ended up on the top. I'm thinking it may be to thick for them to dig through as the saw dust is lighter and not as compact. My other thought was that it wasn't enough, and instead of taking away more from my Supers, which I was already thinking I didn't have enoughh of, I could just mix all the worms in the same container. Is this an option or will the Supers eat them or vice versa? Haha...would be funny if the Wax Worms were the dominate ones...

No. Do not mix feeders in the the same bin.

Waxworms should be kept in the fridge. They do not require a substrate while in the cold. They are dormant, do not eat, do not move. Remove only what is needed, and when they warm up they will become active again.

The stuff used in waxworm containers is to suck up moisture. They should never get wet in their container.

OOOOOOHHH...... Well that explains it. Thanks a bunch but now I gotta fish out all the saw dust stuff out of the trash. haha Damn

Don't worry about it. Anything can be used to suck out the moisture. Papertowel, etc. Keep it in a dry portion of the fridge. Do not let the container warm up and moisture should not form.
