Whoopeee!

Finaly after what seems like an aeon searching for some pygmy chams I hopefully will have a small group of them in 4 weeks time, captive bred as well! - hope I'm not gonna be let down!

So I'm now gonna start setting up the terrarium so I've got everything right for when they arrive.

Any other pygmy keepers out there let me know what you think any advice will be welcome.

An exo terra 30x30x30 while they are still babies so they can find food easily

A 50/50 substrate of potting soil or peat and fine orchid bark, then a layer of coconut fibre - between 3-4 inches

Then a layer of dead leaves and various sizes of small twigs and branches at various levels

1 ficus benjamina

1 ficus pumis(sp)

uvb 2.0 - I know some say they dont need it but it will help my plants- 12hrs on 12hrs off

A small basking spot at 78 F with the aim of a gradiant down to 70 F during the day

Humidity aimed at 70% - 2 sprays a day

I'm pretty sure I have most things right let me know if otherwise!

ooooops forgot to mention my group will be 1 male 2 females

Everything sounds good so far-even as babies mine had no problem finding food. I don't use a basking spot, but in the winter here in Florida I might consider a very weak one. I spray 3 times a day as it dries up well between the 3 msitings.
