Yellow butterflies

Hi :) so I was just curious about this common yellow butterfly we see everywhere. They are just plain yellow, no other marks. What are these called? Are they safe for chameleons to eat?
And... I have a bunch of tetro sphinx (i think that's how its spelled) caterpillars and a few moths outside. I think these are poisonous since I have not seen a bird eat one in my life. But wanted to make sure :)
Thanks!

generally brightly colored insects are to be avoided! Thats thier warning color. safe insects try to blend in and hide;)

Search images for Cloudless Sulphur butterflies (Phoebis sennae), or just post a picture of one of the ones you're seeing, and tell if thats what you're seeing (they generally have a pinkish purplish head where their antennae come out). If so, I read a while back about them, because I wanted to feed some to Hawk :), and could never find solid evidence that they would be harmful to chams because the caterpillars feed on plants that are said to be toxic to cattle and goats and "some other animals" if consumed in large quantities, but the butterflies get nectar from different plants including hibiscus, which is a safe plant. If you can tell me that you are seeing CSB then I'll look into it some more to try to help both of us out ;)
