Oohhh he is beautiful! He is really showing a nice mix of the yellows and blues, and I love the rusty stripe on his side. Even though he is super pretty, I think I'll keep my Olivander hahaha
It is actually a red stripe. The graciliors have a very red background that the green scales are surrounded by. I'm sure the red is more optical illusion, but it does not look brown/rust in real life and close up. This male was very blue as a juvenile which was why I kept him. I might sell him since I really want a blue one like your Olivander or YingLong. He has lots of blue, but he isn't what I am looking for. I have another clutch of young YingLong babies plus a clutch int he incubator so I might move him and grow out a group. I'll keep him until I have something I like as much or more. YingLong was incredibly beautiful so I want as much of his blood as possible to try to develop a very blue YingLong line. I have a very beautiful blue female from Olivander's clutch, so have many ways to tackle getting the "YingLong" blues. You take darn good care of your Olivander because I might need to send something his way.
That is really interesting about the red...I never knew that.
Of course, I will be doing my best possible for my little guy, but now you're putting the pressure on me! hahaha Let me know if Olivander is needed to further your pursuits for the noble Blue Cause!
Ah gotcha... Definitely showing up there! I haven't noticed it on Olivander yet but I'll have to scope it out.@maryanne27 "Stripe" isn't the right word. They often have a red background, sometimes on their sides and often on the tops of their casques. I hope it shows up in this picture.

YingLong didn't have a red background. He was very very blue. Giselle definitely does.Ah gotcha... Definitely showing up there! I haven't noticed it on Olivander yet but I'll have to scope it out.
She is beautiful! I can definitely see the red undertones coming out on her haha Olivander has more of just a stripe up the center of his face/casque. Definitely rocking that blue, though!@maryanne27 This is Olivander's sister. I think she is quite blue, so if I can't find a blue male from my last YingLong babies, I still have her to get my blue line.

That chestnut colored head is really typical of gracilior females. The males don't have those "red" heads that the females have. That's not the red I'm talking about on their bodies. It's like a background of red with green scales on top. Here is Olivander's mother being ferocious. The second picture is the day or two after import--you can see a the typical "red head" of a gracilior female.
