Young veiled not eating poopin and not active at all.

Your Chameleon - Male 4 month old veiled Chameleon. Had for 3 days now
Handling - Once
Feeding - Crickets, dubias, mealworms, wax worms, keep it mixed up and I put at least 20 in due to cage size Gut load with fruits and veggies from Sandras nutrition blog and high calcium cricket food
Supplements calcium w/o d3 every feeding, and with d3 twice a month and multi vitamin twice a month. Is plan....
Watering - spray 3 times a day for 3 mind and have dripper and I have not seen him drink yet
Fecal Description - has not gone

Cage Info:
Cage Type- Wood and screen cage 4" x 3" x 2"
Lighting - reptisun 5.0 24"
Temperature - 70 ambient with basking or 85. Night time is around 65-68
Humidity - 50% with spikes of 80
Plants - split leaf, asparagus furn, and a orchid.
Placement - cage is located in my room stands 5" off the ground and it is in a traffic area.
Location Oregon usa
Current Problem - I have had him for 3 days and he has not eaten or gone to the bathroom once. He just sits on a branch and does not move except when I try to put food in the cage he hisses and lunges at me. He has fallen off the branch twice lunging at me. Today when this happened he did not get up right away and when he did he has just been really dark and just as inactive as always. What do you guys/gales recomend?

Tom,

Your husbandry sounds correct for the species described; not sure on your plants. With only having him for three days, you might cover the sides of the cage with an old sheet (something breathable, ie: not plastic if you humidity is good) for the remainder of the week to let him settle in to the cage a bit. Pull a little of the sheet off, up, down at a time to slowly expose him to his new world. Post a pic of your cham. and enclosure when you get a chance to let us see what we're working with.

When you go into feed, do so early in the am, before the lights go on, so that you don't startle him. When you spray, make sure your water is warm in your sprayer. You may want to spray from the top of the cage if you've covered the sides of the cage. Remember to go very slowly when you approach/spray and stay your distance(the best that you can). Let him come to you when he's ready.
May I ask where you procured your veiled from? Sounds like he hasn't had much interaction with humans before you got him. He will need to acclimate slowly to his new home and keeper. Not to worry, it will just take time. If you work with him slowly and let him acclimate to his new home, he'll learn to accept/ tolerate his new digs/keeper much faster and easier. Please let us know how it's going through the week.

Hi Tommy Bonnet,I wouldnt feed my baby veiled with the mealworm or waxworm,please try some silkworm or superworm,its much better nutrition in the chameleon digestive system,since u just got ur new cham,did u try to contact ur breeder to see what they feeding the cham with?? Also the baby might still stressed about the new cage environment to get comfortable with.
If you can take some pics and share with all of us in the forum,Im sure someone will give you their opinions too

Mealworm can be a "hard impact" in the stomach and waxworm are hight fat content,try not feed them on those,go with the silky or superworm will be better for ur healty cham

Here are pics of my cage and the cham. He just sits there all day. The feeder cup you see have crickets in it all the time and I have a bunch just roaming the cage.

The cover idea was a good one. He has moved around now. I peeked threw little hole in the sheet. His Color's have lightened up. I will keep him covered up as much as possible. Only problem is the Temp rose to 100 basking and 72 ambient. I'm not to worried about the 72 but the 100 worries me

Glad to hear that covering the cage worked. What a wonderfully large enclosure. Bring down that basking temp. back to 85* +/-. You might remove a little of the sheet/ one side to achieve the ideal temp., or simply roll up a bit of the sheet and hold with a clothes pin.

It sounds and looks like he needs more foliage to be comfortable. He should almost be able to get lost in his enclosure imo.

Don't be afraid to supplement the real plants with plastic until you get them to grow to the size you need. There is nothing wrong with it ^^

So I went and got a pothos today and not even 10 mins after I put it in Hades started eating the leaves lol.

Thanks for the advice everyone! Hades is eating, drinking, deficating, and moving all over the cage. I will continue to keep the cage covered for a while and slowly introduce myself to him more and more.
Aside from pothos what eles can I put in the cage that will grow fast to make it a jungle in there? Thank you everyone!
