Your thought's on age and future colour

So we've had Kaji for 3 weeks now. He's a Sambava panther. When we got him the reptile store told us he was 10 weeks old, which would now make him 13 weeks old... so around 3 months old... I have emailed them recently as I wanted to know his hatch date ( so I could know exactly how old he is) however, they HAVEN'T replied... which has lead me to believe that they wanted a sale and he was actually younger than 10 weeks when we got him

How old would you say he was in these photos??? is 3 months about right?

Also, he has red striped on his eyes and when he gets angry he has red stripes under his chin. He occasionally shows a hint of green or blue on his cheeks but not enough for my other half to see :p or the camera to pick up... what do you guys think his colour will be? If he was going to be a bright one would his colours already be coming through? His stripes and patterns are so beautiful... i just wanna see some colour! :p

Three months sounds about right, actually. As far as colors go, most panthers will start to color up significantly at about 6 months, with some coloring up faster or slower. However, since you have a Sambava, he will take longer to reach his full coloration. Their reds and yellows seem to take a few more months to really come in, and they'll be more blue and green at first.

Agh, that's really good information to know. :) thank you ever so much! I definitely wish I hadn't bought from a reptile store as they really are no help... however, i see them there and want to rescue ALL of them as they arn't being kept in the best conditions. hate seeing it, it break my heart... pretty sure if I can manage to raise Kaji well and healthy my house will definitely have to have a cham room!!!!

Kaji is adorable and I love his name! Part of the fun of chams is the waiting to see what they will ultimately end up looking like. I agree that he looks about 3 months old - since a clutch hatches out over a few days, the store probably doesn't even know exactly when it was, especially if they don't breed their own chams and just buy them from others. Best of luck with him, and the best chance for great colors is to keep posting pics of him on here :D
