aww sha. :p Did you try placing him on a tree branch with leaves on it? One where you can be a support underneeth just incase he falls or trys to go back to you like... Mommy please no no no. or he might give out some happy colors vibes.

He is probably just a little chilly and trying to absorb as much of that warm sun as possible :)

Looks like you need to update your signature... He is a Nosy Be, right? He looks a whole lot like my Moe

i wish i could have! but its winter in pa...no trees have leaves cept the red maple behind me...and im sure he would climb that one till i couldnt get him back :/ i hope spring gets here fast...i wanna get him out as much as possible!

it took a few times for mine to like going outside, but I put him in a small tree in my backyard and it's like a chameleon jungle gym! lol just watch out for predatory birds...I caught a hawk scoping us out one day:eek:

thats what i was thinking, i wasnt sure if he was dark to absorb the heat, or from stress. it was about 60 degrees out, but the sun was warm. and ill fix my signature right now! lol

Mine does the same thing when I take him outside, he will turn very dark and try to hide under my arm, I have to keep taking him out so he will get to liking the outdoors, but he has other ideas about that.

60 degrees is a lil chilly. He'll flatten out and turn dark to absorb the rays and warm up. Once he has done this for a few minutes, he'll begin to lighten up as he starts to explore.

It's always good to introduce them to new surroundings in increments. 5 minutes one day, 10 minutes the next and so forth... He's a big boy! Looking good!! :)

we were only out for about 5-10 minutes, i was afraid i was stressing him too much  maybe if we get another warm day ill take him out again for a little longer...otherwise, we gotta wait till spring :(

I find this so mad that u have a nosy be and named him ziggy because we have one too and called him zuggie and whats more crazy he looks like him lol what do u think :)

thats insane! i didnt name him, so i cant take the credit :p but that is just too cool!

wow, thats a really nice cham. Mines outside 24/7. the only time when he has to come in, is when its raining at nite or its cold. he doesnt really like being inside. as soon as he knows hes goin bak outside is when he gets batteries and starts walking really fast.

He didn't get all colorful because he was trying absorb the heat by getting dark. I live roughly in your neck of the woods (Northeast Ohio) and with the weather back here we only have about 3-4 months of the year that it's good to have them outside - but just wait till a really warm spring day & get him outside, you will be amazed at the difference in his colors in natural sunlight!!
