My half-year old chameleon Zim got a small peice of his fake branch stuck on his eyelid last night. There wasn't any blood so, fearing we'd cause more harm to his eye than good, my boyfriend and I decided to wait and see if it would work it's way off. This morning the peice of branch had been replaced by a red blotchy spot on Zim's eyelid. I can't see any visible gash or wound on Zim's eyelid and it appears to have stopped bleeding, but I'm worrried about possible infection. I carefully watched him hunt this morning, and he caught 4 crickets with ease, so I don't think his actual eye has been damaged, but if anyone knows some better tests I can do to check him out or anything I can give him to prevent infection, please let me know.
