I’m saving up for the Zoo Med ReptiBreeze LED XL size. Do any of you guys like this cage?

Hi. Personally I don’t think it’s worth it. The clear acrylic door is nice, but the led lights offer no benefit and colored lights are not good for sensitive chameleon eyes. There are other options as well that imho are better values than the LED ReptiBreeze. I have thought of the regular reptibreeze. I only wanted the LED for the plants. The Zen look more well build.

If you can...go Dragon Strand.
Another option just throwing it out there.... are these awesome kits made by Neptune the Chameleon. They come with everything you need to start with.

I would spend whatever it takes to give my pets the best life. That being said:
Reptibreeze - $70.00
Reptizoo - $320.00
Dragon Strand - $650.00 with shipping
I can’t justify spending 4X on a Reptizoo or 9X on a screened Dragon Strand.
These are screened enclosures with latches to keep the doors closed. Even crickets can’t escape from my Reptibreeze. If you want dragon ledges, get dragon ledges but I’ve been following Neptune the Chameleon’s method for setting up cages and it works perfectly.
Unless I am going larger than 24” x 24” x 48”, the $ isn’t justified.
People talk about cages being “sturdy”. And I say, sturdy for what? These are chameleons, not buffalo. And screens are screens. So if you’re talking about sturdy frame, again…for what?
Maybe it just comes down to aesthetics. Form, not function. The dragon strand is probably nicer to look at.

just note you want to watch your screws in the reptibreeze. They will rust out. There is a difference in quality. Basically it comes down to materials used. Along with the other items you get such as drain pan with screen floor and ledges to mount branches and plants. Granted both of these can be bought separately from Dragon Strand. But then your back to the materials and longevity of the actual cage.

I don’t understand how the screen floor is helpful. You still have to remove the screen and spray the stuck poop off it, right? It just eliminates poop soup?
I can buy nickel plated screws for a few bucks.

If money were no object, I would opt straight to Tamura design.

I don’t think Tamura enclosures create a good enough chimney effect for air exchange without adding PC fans. But I don’t have one so I don’t know. They are beautiful though.
They have multiple options for venting. Just depends on what he is designing for. He builds them for the species rather than having one option.
Well I have dealt with a few situations of a cham climbing the door and losing its grip. Rather than fall and hit a solid bottom they bounce on the screen. Also yes it separates the cham from the nasty water. Which at one point or another they are going to travel every part of their cage including the bottom. This keeps them from walking in the yuck.
Stainless steal screws are a great option if your going to replace them.

I’m currently saving up to replace two of my ReptiBreeze enclosures with two Dragon Stand enclosures. These are my reasons personally and in no specific order:
1. Supporting someone in the chameleon community vs a company in China
2. My enclosures are crooked (maybe I assembled them wrong?). As I’m working on my reptile room I want the enclosures to look just as nice as the room itself
3. Drainage: with the dragon strand enclosures the drainage set up is set in a way where I can have the enclosures set directly side by side and not waste space
4. Better humidity hold rather than the corrugated plastic I have set up, what I currently have works ‘okay’ but I’d love to not lose any humidity through all the gaps I have between then closure and the plastic
5. As careful as I have been my screens have all ripped at one time or another and the holes are taped in some sort of way to avoid poking my chams
6. The screens have stolen many a claw from at least two of my chams
