Too bad there’s nothing to give leopard geckos...my poor little ones were all freaked out from the loud booms of fireworks. 😞

My poor dog was also scared. One doesnt care, one acts like the fireworks are shooting at her. I feel so bad for her.
I feel so bad because I didnt even check on the beardy. I have no idea how Opal did with it. 😕

Looked like Spike wasn’t bothered by the noise. Tonight we had more fireworks and the Xanax didn’t work as well. My poor Beastie has chronic anxiety & I’ve tried just about everything...natural supplements, pheromones, CBD oil, positive reinforcement/redirection, thunder shirts, Trazodone, med for noise-induced anxiety and nothing has even decreased his anxiety. It’s tough, but I adore my giant sweet anxious Beast.
What is it about superworms that they are like reptile crack? Beardie Spike has a serious addiction to them.
Reasons why chameleons are better than my dog: no anxiety when I play music, cook, fireworks, etc. they don’t steal my coffee when I turn away, don’t have to constantly pull non-food items from their mouths, they don’t see the litter box as an all you can eat buffet, no barking. Love my Beastie, but he drives me insane!!!
Enclosure assembled, dragon ledges installed, plants cleaned and repotted, branches washed. Lights, mist head and tubing on stand by. Jack will be in his new enclosure tomorrow! Can’t wait to give him much more needed space. He’s feeling good and getting very active. ?
So jealous of how well my chameleons sleep. Insomnia is exhausting.
My Tabby kitty has been great so vet check deferred due to needing to take beardie to vet today. (Had red in his urate). Why do they worry me so?! At least they’re taking turns needing vet visits.
My beautiful awesome Tabby cat is sick. :( 3 more hours until done with work and can get her to the emergency vet. Very worried.

She could have eaten some pothos, but it’s never made her sick before. I was worried that the beardie jumps off me and runs around on my bed, where she often hangs out. I keep him clean, but one never knows.

Well as long as she is getting better that is what matters. Are you taking her to see your normal vet? Or only if she is not feeling well?

Yes, I’ll be taking her to the regular vet at the end of the week unless she relapses and needs to go sooner.

Of the big box pet stores, I’m liking that Pet Supermarket has less than half a dozen reptiles and no chameleons 9 times out of ten that I go there.
Poor sweet Kirby has no idea how to be a leopard gecko. Trying to teach him how to use his moist hide for shedding.

Nope! Still doesn’t understand. Chunks of shed skin all over his tank and had to give him a soak to get the remnants off his feet & toes. Thankfully he’s pretty patient about it.
Wake up, eat, bask, go back into hide and sleep for 2 days and repeat. Occasional poop to shake things up. Beardie Spike is just playing with his momma’s emotions.
Yay! My Spikey baby has been awake for 2 days! Eating well, soaking up his heat and uvb ? I’ve asked him not to go back to sleep (really begged him is more accurate) and I hope he listened. I’ve missed him so much!
