My prospective enclosure

So as a hopeful new owner of a Charm soon, I obviously want to set its enclosure up first and have it as near perfect before I buy. This is what I have and plan to use.

Its dimensions are 36" L X 24" W X 63" H

As long as it don't rust I don't see why not. Probably better since they cant snag nails on the screens that most of us use. Careful not to smash cham in the swing doors too;)

Thanks Jack, Its all a coated steel with smooth edges and it can be portioned off by 1/3 increments if needed

Looks perfect!

It is HUGE height wise, and is wide enough. An adult chameleon of any common species would love that cage.

Just make sure not to put a baby in it!

PETCO ! It was a brand new return sitting on the floor discounted, normally $299, on sale for $200, I haggled them down to $180 and with coupons I got it for under $160.......:D

All I needed to do was buy new wheels for it because I didn't like the ones it came with.

Pay no attention to the semi auto M4 behind it...LOL

Great idea but how you going to keep the crickets in?

The Panther I'm getting is already container trained but I have thought of that for the ones that escape, I thought about plexi-glass along the bottom. Also, I may place mesh around the sides...still thinking.

Suggestions?

I started setting up my lighting tests this morning, I don't think I have the adequate bulb for basking as the temps are holding on the low side at 85.4, I guess I will get a stronger bulb in a few and test again.

What size bulb are you using? Also what is the distance from the basking spot to the heat source?

Its just a 40W Household I had and thought Id try, obviously not doing the job. The distance is about 6-8 inches, Im too lazy to go out to my truck and get my tape measure:rolleyes: Ill run out and get a Basking bulb after I eat breakfast

Also you said on the low side.. Does that mean there is another spot that is warmer?
