Romeo :) looking like a candy cane

Not any particular line and I could be wrong but I think a female with a high red lineage would help strengthen his genetics. Amazing panther though!

    Tinley Park, Il. NARBC Show

While I do agree with this you can't assume that since he's new to the forums, he's new to chameleons.

    Sleeping upside down

He's fine, my pygmy sleeps on the side of he branch sometimes horizontally but stil grips. As far as where he sleeps, he tends to have a general sleeping spot for a few days then moves.

    Veiled Yemen not eating much

Yeah make sure to try other smaller feeders and like the above said, she could be settling. You also dust your feeders, right?

Joining Da Family ( Panther Chameleon ~ Creepy )

You have a very cute chameleon and welcome to the forums! Is that a fish tank that he is in? A fish tank is not good for chams.

    So many questions....

Well the basics are, a screen cage with vines branches and foliage, a 50-70watt incandescent bulb, 5.0 UVB, 60% humidity! no night lights. Yes you need to mist with a dripper, drippers don't affect the humidity that much. You can't really discuss companies here but check out the sponsors for...

    Pied transculent Yemen kamæleon

Very unique looking chams. You don't keep them together all the time right? And in glass fish tanks either? Just the pics seems that way.

    Pygmy food.

Melongaster I feel would be to small but I've seen my pygmy randomly snatch a fungus gnat but I doubt they'd be a good main feeder.

    My beautiful Juanita

She is pretty but you do need some husbandry issues fixed. Your cage needs quite a bit more decor and what kind of lighting do you have? Make sure the red light is not on during the night. As for tips i dont have experience with veileds, just knowledge of them, but make sure you have a lay bin...

    Rieppeleon brevicaudatus vivarium

I don't see why not, just don't put over two in that tank and no more than one male per tank. Get some terrestrial foliage to to cover the branches like palms scheffleras and ferns. The little guys love foliage.

    Considering Brevs, Need help

Well all I can say is as long as there are pathways along with foliage,my our little guys will be happy. My pygmy was my first reptile and is very easy to care for. Once you create a habitat that they feel they can escape inside of, they'll settle very quickly.

    Considering Brevs, Need help

You can use coc fiber if you aren't making a live vivarium. ABG will work great but it's main goal is to give plants nutrients the coco fiber doesn't. I disagree that pygmies need tooth pick size twigs. I have a few zoomed twisty branches that I in raveled and that works fine, as long as the...
