    Rieppeleon brevicaudatus vivarium

I did however see this male temporalis digging a hole in the pile of cocoa fiber...weird. It was a perfect hole that looked like it would be for eggs, but this guy had a huge hemipenal bulge. Later on i found him almost completely upsidedown in the hole, and when he saw me he scurried off and...

    Rieppeleon brevicaudatus vivarium

I agree on the more foilage point, and I think how many pygmys you can add is highly dependent on how much foilage you have. Ive also found that males dont seem to battle when there are no females present, and did an experiment keeping them seperate in groups of 3. It worked surprisngly well. In...

Is it possible to go through 1000 crickets in a month with one chameleon?

First of all I just want to say I don't heat my crickets at all and I have no die off. I don't breed them, just order them often, but I do have them long enough to see them obviously thriving and growing. And yes if you don't feed them enough they absolutely feed on eachother and leave...

    Exo-Terra for Jacks?

Forgot to mention you can also hook a fogger to a "rain dome" (really just any upside down container with the fogger to connected) and water droplets will form on the screen and drip down over the area directly under the raindome

    Exo-Terra for Jacks?

I have had success keeping multiple montane species, including jacksons, elliots and rudis, in exo terra cages. The trick is to not over mist and lots of airflow. The temporary rise in humidity is what you want, mainly in the morning to simulate morning dew. You have to make sure the cage dries...

OMG! What are you doing about heat lights after Jan1?

I like to use track lighting from home depot or Lowe's on my rack. They generally come with 3 domes attatched and 3 bulbs. There is an attatchment so that you can plug it directly into the wall instead of hardwiring, and you only need one to power as many strips as you want. These are convenient...

    Myths?

I was going to start a new thread for this but chameleons hibernating?? This sounds ridiculous to me but I got a pair of F. Campani and I was looking around on Wikipedia and such trying to figure out the best terrain for them. Wiki claims that they are submontane and terrestrial, and also...

    Got my first snails

Hmm sounds like you need higher humidity...anything that needs humid conditions will hunker down to save moisture if needed (frogs and such). Try covering most of the lid in suran wrap, should keep it a bit warmer too
