    Shy cham :p

HI thanks lazyboy for the advice! Oh yeah I plan on it taking a while! cant wait for the grumpy "teen" years. Lol but I was wondering if there is anything else I can do to make him feel more comfortable than that? The sun bathing is a really great idea, my other veiled Sam used to come up to...

    24x48x72 enclosure!

And just some more of where I added the shelf to cut off some height and of how the cham could escape the water holder! Like I said though it would be changed every day about every 6 hours or so and there wouldn't even be that much water in it anyway.

    24x48x72 enclosure!

The plastic Tupperware on the bottom is to catch all of the drippage. When testing the mister I noticed all the drops from the leaves dropped exactly where the Tupperware is now. It will be rinsed out and dumped daily to prevent the poor cham from drowning. If for whatever reason he falls in the...

    24x48x72 enclosure!

UPDATE: More foliage with new adjustment! I added a long shelf that thoroughly cuts off 2 ft of the cage. So now it is about 24x48x48! Here it is. Jann the 5.0s are the smallest kinds you can get! About 5 to 6 inches. The larger ones u believe are 8 inches. However I do also have some extra long...

22 Babies Sold and Only 4 Survived 6 Months??

Don't let that guys thoughts misguide you. Most likely he didn't know what he was doing. Yes chameleons are complex creatures, but in all honestly it is no harder than having to look after any other type of pet. It comes down to doing a little research and also a little learning as you go...

    24x48x72 enclosure!

Oh yeah that hibiscus was outside for a few weeks I just put it in the cage when I built it. The top is aluminium steel btw, but I'd think that galvanized steel wouldn't be that bad. The only worry could be feeders possibly gathering zinc if they were crawling up there. Couldn't cup and hand...

    24x48x72 enclosure!

Well everything kinda drips perfectly straight into the plant at the bottom. Idk I don't really have too many problems with the excess water being every whereand dripping all over the place. Unfortunately my ceiling is only about 8ft in this room and I can't really put it on top of anything...

    24x48x72 enclosure!

This is the Monsoon Mist Machine. It is okay. It was about 90 dollars, and I wanted to try it out (I have the MistKing for a seperate cage). The MistKing is much better. for only about 20 bucks more online.

    24x48x72 enclosure!

Hi guys Just wanted to show off my new enclosure! Put a lot of time and effort into setting it up. Now all it needs is a cham! :D I have an automatic mister set up with it. It mists every 4 hours for about a minute long. One mister nozzle on the upper portion of enclosure, and another for...

    I'm a newbie with a few questions (:

1: The enclosure For the enclosure you are going to need a minimum 18x18x36 (large) repitibreeze screen cage. That is the bare minimum, you are going to need to upgrade to a an even bigger one soon. A 24x24x48 should do the trick, although I have a custom 24x48x72 for mine. a 12in tall cage just...

    tips for handling

Again I strongly suggest interacting with him as much as possible. And keep the cage to his enclosure open. That way you can walk up to the cage and without shaking the entire enclosure and startle him.

    tips for handling

Hi. Yes, most definitely just give him a little more time. I strongly suggest hand feeding the first feeder every day. Usually a single worm of some sort (waxworms, meals). This gets them to trust your hands a little more. Eventually work your way closer to him and attempt to pick him up...

    Jackson's Chameleon: Startup/Where To Buy

The enclosure looks okay. Most definitely need to get a bigger one in a couple months maximum when you get the cham. I would stay away from buying any chameleons from the pet stores. They don't keep them well enough to where you would get have a good friendly cham. I recommend purchasing one...

    Handling?

Your Chameleon - veiled chameleon. female. 2 months maybe? in my care for about 2 weeks now. Handling - NOT more than once a day for 2 minutes. Feeding - She eats small crickets, about 10-15 per day. I feed once in the morning and at night. Around the same times, it just depends when I get the...
