Oh, awesome! Luckily this early-feeding isn’t a year-round thing, it’s only for a few months a year, I’ll be able to pay a whole lot of special attention to him during the the summer, winter, and half of fall.
So, how to you make absolutely sure that the crickets won’t gnaw the poor chameleon...
So, how long after lights-on do you offer your feeders? I’d definitely feed in the morning rather than at night, but I’m worried if putting feeders in the food-cup on work days 30 minutes after lights on would be too early? Would this be alright?
hi so I’m really interested in getting a Panther Chameleon. But, maybe 3-4 months of the year, there’s an occasional day where I don’t get home until around 6-7. I’ve read that chameleons ideally need 12 hours of light and 12 hours of no light, but would it be ok if the lights went on around...
So, in Beardie-land, leaving crickets in the enclosure is one of the biggest no-no’s ever since they can bite the beardie. Are free range crickets ok for chameleons? Will they bite him? Also, how long after lights-on or how before lights-off can you offer the insects?
ok so I don’t mean like “how” how, I know they use their tongue. But, how vivacious are they in feeding? I have a 10 month old bearded dragon and he eats everything I hand feed him on-the-spot. I can’t leave any roaches in his cage that he can eat later because he’d just eat all of them within...
Oh yea, I just remembered I do have an extra double dome! So, this may be a really dumb question so forgive me if it is haha. His cage would probably be in this very sunny room in my house. It’s not quite a greenhouse, it’s inside, but it gets a whoooole lot of natural light through the windows...
Oh, I don’t actually have a chameleon yet, I’m just trying to make sure I know everything before I actually get him. He’d probably be around 8-14 months when I buy him
I’m so confused on what the right uvb is for a Panther Chameleon? I definitely think it should be a linear flourscent tube. Would Reptisun T5 10.0 be too much? Would Reptisun T5 5.0 be to little?? Help
Yea, I’ve read a lot about using household bulbs, but I’ve also heard that the incandescent bulbs are getting banned or something?? I’m kinda confused about that. I’ll probably also invest in a lamp stand now that you mention the distance!! Also, can the humidity ever be too high? Where I live...
hello! I'm new to this forum. I have two lovely beardies, but I have become very interested in possibly getting a Panther Chameleon. So, one thing I'm curious about is the right wattage bulb. would a 75w reptile basking bulb be good for a chameleon? I've read the care sheets and such, but they...
